Sunset Elst, Gelderland.

The concrete I need is made on order, and I had to wait for two other customers before they could start with my recipe.

On my way to get 0.5 cubic meter of concrete. Today we’re going to finish the last part of the flagstone path in our backyard.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ 5 km afternoon run at slow pace (week 1 / 12; run 2 / 3).
I was supposed to run today’s workout at a pace that feels comfortable so that I can have a conversation. Always running alone it feels strange to talk while running…

Been to the dentist and the verdict is that the broken tooth cannot be repaired. Options: dental bridge or implant. I think I will go for the bridge. But I have some time for the final decision as first the remaining part of the broken tooth needs to be removed (Dec-12) and then it needs to heal.

Highlight of this morning.

An appointment with the dentist was not possible for today, but tomorrow there is a timeslot available around lunchtime. Although I have already a fully booked agenda I said yes, as the next option would be next week and I don’t like the idea walking around for too long with a broken tooth.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ 3,5 km evening run at slow pace (week 1 / 12; run 1 / 3).
Later in the evening I bit on something hard during dinner but it took a while before I realized that something was wrong. A tooth was broken. Fingers crossed that the dentist has time tomorrow for some repair work.

๐Ÿ“บ Wolfs (2024)
imdb: “Two rival fixers cross paths when they’re both called in to help cover up a prominent New York official’s misstep. Over one explosive night, they’ll have to set aside their petty grievances and their egos to finish the job.”
Labeled as crime and thriller, but for me it was more a kind of (dark) comedy. Entertaining, but nothing special.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ 8 km run in the afternoon just before sunset.
My 12 weeks training for 10 EM trailrun on February 2 in Apeldoorn will start coming week. And I’m ready for it.

Usually the hedgehog shows up after sunset. This afternoon he/she is early and/or hungry.

This morning the sky had a touch of pink in it. When I took a picture it was already hard to see as it disappeared quickly.
Same with the snow. What we had yesterday is almost gone. Tomorrow we will have temperatures which can go up to 20 degrees Celsius but today it is still very cold. I had freezing hands after I finished feeding the chickens and give them fresh water.

Early this week it was announced that there is obligations to keep them indoors due to a new outbreak of bird flu. If you have chickens as a hobby like we do, you need to take care that they are not in contact with (droppings of) migratory birds, but that is hard without keeping them indoors. This weekend we will replace them to a bigger indoor house so they have enough space.

Winter has arrived.

The first (wet) snow. I don’t like it at all.

I still need to figure out how this little fellow managed to get in there…

Looks like the weather is gonna changeโ€ฆ

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Yesterday I ran the 7 km Seven Hills Nightrun. I was so happy with the result that I looked for more runs in the upcoming months. This is the current plan:

  • Feb-2: Mini-Midwintermarathon (10 EM trialrun) in Apeldoorn
  • Mar-16: Stevensloop half marathon in Nijmegen

    Monday training will start!

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Completed the 7 km Seven Hills Night Run in Nijmegen in 38.21 minutes. A Total of 8933 runners of which 450 in the category โ€˜Men 60-65 yearsโ€™. I ended as 47th in that category. Iโ€™m satisfied.
